About Ryan Heckemer
Krista's work is focused, present, and intentional, creating a space for you to communicate your wellness goals. Her massage therapy style is integrative, incorporating elements of deep tissue and myofascial release, neuromuscular and trigger point therapies, Swedish, zero balancing, craniosacral therapy, and shiatsu. These techniques vary from treatment-based work to the realm of subtle yet profound restorative touch. This varied tool kit provides you with the therapeutic work that best suits your needs in the moment, while keeping your long-term treatment goals close at hand. Krista has experience treating conditions including TMJD, whiplash, migraine, cervical and thoracic spine issues, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, and sciatica.
Another critical component of her practice is Quantum Shiatsu. QS accesses the same 12-meridian system used in acupuncture to locate areas of tension and stagnation in the body, freeing them up to take on the qualities of more vibrant tissues. More than any other work Krista does, QS taps into the continuity of mind-body-spirit.
Krista also holds a BA in English - Creative Writing from Colorado State University. Her interest in writing has recently been rekindled by a meeting with a well-known writer who offers workshops on the art of memoir. A dedicated life-long learner, Krista has a passion for continuing education and personal and professional growth.
